Richard Chai, considered one of the "new Asian" influences, along with up and comers Peter Som and Derek Lam, was one of the first shows to hit NYFW earlier today. Famous for his Minimalist, menswear inspired touches, this show travelled those same lines.
The pattern of this bomber was a recurring brighter spot, along with flashes of purple, in an otherwise dark collection.
This purple peplum and patterned pencil was my personal favourite of the show.
This fabric is reminiscent of this past seasons brocade, that seemed to be everywhere, as I'm sure this will be.
If I owned this outfit I would wear it out I love it so much, from the tailored trousers to the peplum top, it hits all my favourite styles.
Not too many dresses made Richard Chai's collection but I am loving the floaty fabric he used.
I think this look will be a go-to work wear look for many fashionistas come Autumn, the tailored trousers and peplum top are smart and very wearable.
So, what do you think of Richard's new collection? I think it is very wearable and will transfer effortlessly onto the high street.
